Cannot afford to play with fire
South London Press - 25 January 2013
When the helicopter crashed in Vauxhall last week, tragically killing two, injuring 18, and terrifying many residents, our emergency services did an incredible job. Within minutes, fire engines were on the scene, and fire fighters tackled the blaze, stopping it from spreading, as well as rescuing a man from a burning vehicle.

Kate spoke at the protest which took place outside the London Fire Brigade headquarters and coincided with the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority meeting to discuss the plans to close 12 fire stations across London, including Clapham.
Vauxhall helicopter crash

Kate was shocked to hear about the helicopter crash in Vauxhall today. She spoke to send her condolences to the families of those killed and those wounded, and expressed her concern for people who were affected and frightened by the crash.

Sir, This Thursday (17th January), the European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, Tonio Borg, will meet Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, to discuss the setting of maximum permitted levels for vitamins and minerals in food supplements under the provisions of Article 5 of the European Union's Food Supplements Directive.
